====Discrete Channels==== An discrete channel is a number that is **not** continuous. It will usually be an integer (ie. no decimal points), and the different numbers often describe a state. For example, the signal that a door is open, that it's daytime or that a machine is in a particular mode. In ARDI, **Status**, **Enumeration** and **Lookup** properties are treated as discrete channels. They are usually show in [[panels|panels]] as [[Text Chart|text charts]] when looking at live data, and [[Discrete Charts|discrete charts]] when looking at values over time. The other type of channel is a [[Analogue Channels|analogue channel]].
