====Adding a New Machine Condition==== Both the OEE and Outage Reporting analytics classify your machine state. By default, the include four main states - **Stopped**, **Running**, **Idle** and **Blocking**. However, you can add more to your logic whenever you wish. In this case, we're going to add the //Maintenance// condition, which should appear whenever there's scheduled maintenance on the system. We get the maintenance schedule from an ARDI event source. ===Updating OEE=== When adding a new machine condition to an OEE analytic, remember to consider if the condition should be part of your OEE percentage. //Scheduled// maintenance is important, and your crews shouldn't be penalised for it. If your OEE figures are targeted at **people, shifts or crews**, you should mark scheduled maintenance as //good//. If you're figures are targeted at **equipment reliability**, it might be worth marking these as //bad//.
