====How Analytics Works====

To create an analytic, you create a [[Funnel|funnel]].

In other analytic packages, these are also known as //graphs//. However, ARDIs funnels are very slightly different in how they operate.

A funnel is made up of three distinct elements...

* A [[Source|Source]], \\
* One or more [[Filter|Filters]], and \\
* One or more [[Sink|Sinks]]

A **Source** brings new data into your analytic funnel. 

A **Filter** manipulates, changes or in some cases blocks your data.

A **Sink** stores or transmits your data, and is the end of the Funnel.
