====ARDI AR User Guide====

ARDI AR makes it easy to access asset information - simply look at your equipment through your smartphone or other portable device.

To do this, we use [[markers|markers]] that uniquely identify your devices. ARDI can use barcodes, QR codes and NFC tags, but AR markers are the most powerful of the options.

Our version is Augmented Reality is [[why so simple?|deliberately very basic]] - it's designed to get you information quickly, easily and safely.

===Accessing AR===

AR is designed to be simple to use. Follow the steps below...

1) Open your ARDI server in the web browser (ie. Chrome, Safari etc) on your portable device. 

2) Select **AR** from the sidebar (you might need to press the button in the top-left corner to open the sidebar on small-screen devices).

3) Flip your phone over into 'landscape' (so it's wider than it is tall).

4) //First Time Only// Say **Yes** or **Allow When Visiting This Site** to use your camera.

Then, point your camera towards one of the AR markers that have been set up in your system. The asset will be identified on-screen, and you can touch its name to bring up detailed information.
