====Logical Assets==== While [[physical assets|physical assets]] represent something that you can see and touch, logical assets usually represent non-physical this, such as... * Groups of Items * A specific geographic or process area For example, facilities are often broken up into 'areas', such as 'Workshop Area' or 'Staff Amenities'. Although these //contain// physical assets, the area itself is a logical one. Similarly, you may often want to group items together. A logical asset can be a group such as 'Network Hardware', 'Communications Infrastructure' etc. which binds a number of physical assets together. Note though that logical assets are ideally suited when the asset fits comfortably within one of your [[hierarchy|hierarchies]]. In other cases it may be better to use [[tags|tags]] to categorise your assets instead.
