===Source Properties===

Historical text sources are designed for situations where you have a spreadsheet or table of results with date-stamps. 

When setting up the text file source, you'll be asked to specify...

^Option^Use^
|Path|The full path to the text file|
|Delimiter|The 'delimiter' character that separates the columns. If blank, it is assumed to be 'tab'|
|Label Column|The number of the column that contains the 'name' of the value|
|Date Column|The number of the column that contains the date as text or as a UNIX epoch|
|Value Column|The number of the column that contains the value|
|Timezone|The name of the timezone for the data. If blank, UTC is assumed.|

Note that in the above values, the column count begins at '1'. A zero indicates that the column is not present in your file.

In the above example, the property linked to the 'ROOM1_TEMP' label would get the value **11.4** when //11:00 on the 10th of March 2016// was requested.
