=====VoxelContainer===== ====Summary==== This effect is used to restrict how far 'up the tree' the Voxelisation system will explore. Voxelisation occurs when you are looking at data on objects that are too small to be easily seen on-screen. The object is replaced with a 'box' that shows colour bands reflecting the values inside the asset. Normally, the **entire asset model** is replaced. But you can modify this behaviour by assigning the 'VoxelContainer' effect to any object in the hierarchy. If an object is a Voxel Container, **it** will be the object that gets replaced during voxelisation when any of its children contain values. ===Use Case=== Lets say you have a 3D model of an entire city block rather than individual buildings. In those buildings you're monitoring the energy usage for every individual floor. The normal voxel behaviour would replace the //entire city// with a voxel block that would contain all of the values for the whole block. But if you make each building a 'Voxel Container', each building will become its own distinct tower of values, making it much easier to compare buildings directly. ====Parameters==== None. ====Examples==== > This asset will be summarised into a single Voxel during voxelisation.
