====Frames==== A **frame** represents a single period of time. This might be a day, shift, event, product run, batch or even a single moment. A frame has a **start time**, an **end time** (which might be the same as the start time), and may have a number of attributes that provide information about that period. For example, a frame for a business day might include attributes like... * Total amount of production, * Total amount of wastage, * Number of Quality Issues or failed inspections. * Total amount of planned and unplanned downtime etc. Layered Frame Analytic methods are designed to help you calculate and automate capturing these details. ===Tables & Sub-Frames=== Frames can also store //tables of data// and //lists of frames// (called **framesets**). These are used during the analytic process.
