====Modular Output Testing====

This addon is used by administrators to create and test [[mos:welcome|Modular Output System]] configurations.

It can be used to ensure that notifications work as-expected and to correctly format, filter and otherwise configure setting a single point of data, or writing a single event.

==Performing a Test==

Firstly, choose which method you would like to test. Note that not every available Modular Output System method has a pre-built test available.

For example, you might choose to test sending an email, writing to a database, or simply logging an event to a text file.

==Choose Settings==

Fill in the settings in the provided JSON file. Remember to include [[mos:event_codes|event codes]] where possible.

==Set Value/Event Details==

Finally, set the details of the value or event you want to write - such as the //name// and //value// of a point of data, or the //event name// and //duration// of an event.

Once you've chosen, press the **Test** button to write your data through the output system.
