====Distribution==== The **Distribution** addon is designed to visually show how values are distributed between //separators// in your ARDI system. These are displayed as either **tree maps** or **bar charts**. Tree-maps are ideal if you're trying to understand the largest users/consumers/producers of resources, while bar charts are helpful if you're comparing totals. The system allows you to choose from a variety of different types of separator. ===Relationship Separators=== This splits your view based on a //relationship//. For example, you can use your **Location** relationship to see what part of your system is consuming the most power, or navigate down your **Water** relationship to see where your fresh water is being used as it flows down your pipework. You can navigate through your relationships - clicking on one section will zoom in on any sub-relationships present. This is useful if you're trying to find a difference in behaviour or performance between different process conditions. For example, comparing your energy use between different products, or comparing your gas usage when your machines are //running// compared to when they are //stopped//. [[https://demo.optrix.com.au/s/pl/treemapper/map?value=23&perspective=43&filter=&start=2025-01-15%2022:10:01&end=2025-01-16%2004:10:01|Show Running vs Stopped Power Usage]] ===Event Separators=== This splits your data based on //events//. For example, if you're connected to your shift structure or staff scheduling system, you can show energy consumption **per shift** or **per crew**. If connected to your maintenance calendar, you can compare operations during normal operation vs during scheduled maintenance times. [[https://demo.optrix.com.au/s/long/treemapper/map?value=77&perspective=!Human%20Resources&filter=&start=2025-01-15%2004:12:24&end=2025-01-16%2004:12:24|Show Daily Gas Levels by Shift/Crew]] ===Time-Of-Day Separators=== This lets you split your data based on //time-of-day//. While we suggest using events to split your data if you have multiple shifts or complex rosters, time-of-day separation works well for businesses with simple schedules. You can pick a 'start' and an 'end' time on each day of the week. Your data will then be split into times //inside// and //outside// those times. This lets you set up simple time-based comparisons, such as weekdays vs weekends, business hours vs non-business-hours etc. ===Type Separators=== This lets you split your data based on //asset type//. When you have multiple sub-types of an asset - for example, you might have **Engine Type** that has **Petrol**, **Diesel** and **Electric** sub-types - this allows you to split your results based on those sub-types. Simply choose the parent type name (ie. 'Engine Type' or 'Equipment Type') from the list, and the chart will show you which type of equipment is consuming the most power, causing the most waste etc. [[https://demo.optrix.com.au/s/pl/treemapper/map?value=23&perspective=$15&style=barchart&filter=|Show Drive Energy Usage Based on Equipment Type]]
