====Time Difference Node====

This is a [[folder_timing|timing]] node. It outputs the **total amount of time since a specified date and time**.

It's most often used in [[module_pivot|Pivot]] and [[module_count|Counter]] analytics, although it can also be used in others. 

This node is available in all [[analytic_modules|modules]].

===Outputs===

**Output #1** is a //number//, the total number of //periods// since the //reference date//. This number will be rounded up to the nearest round number.

===Options===

This node has two options.

The first is the //Reference Date//. This specifies a date and time for the very first period that you want to measure.

For example, if you'd like your totals to run from 6:00AM, you'd choose a date reference of **2024-04-04 06:00:00**.

The second is the //Units// you'd like the number in. These can be **hours**, **days**, **weeks**, **months** or **years**.
