====Tracking Hotspots====

The [[module_linetracking|Line Tracking]] analytic uses //hotspots//. A hotspot is a single point on your line that is then tracked along the path of your [[graph|graph]].

For each hotspot, you get a list of the assets in the line, and the time that the hotspot passes by each one.

Adding a new hotspot to your line is called **dropping** a hotspot. You can use logic to choose when you'd like to drop hotspots at the start of your path.

For example, you can have a hotspot for each //batch// of product, of a change of //order//, //recipe// or //product type//.

This allows you to create [[synchronised reporting|synchronised reporting]] for products or batches.
