How-To Add A Parent To An Asset

It's almost always easier to add a child asset to a parent one - we suggest doing that where possible.

However, if you don't already have an asset as a parent, you can use the insert control to add one.

WARNING - If your asset already has a parent in the same relationship you're trying to add, this technique will insert a new asset between the existing parent and the selected asset.

If the asset doesn't have a relationship of the type you're looking for…

Click Show All (at the end of the list of relationships)
Choose the relationship you want to add from the drop-down list that appears

Then…

Press the '+' button to the left of the asset.
Start entering the name of the asset.
If the asset already exists, choose it from the list to have it automatically added.
If the asset doesn't already exist, push Create to build it.

And your asset is now attached.
