Marker Offsets
There are two ARDI properties related to Augmented Reality.
The Marker ID property specifies which marker is used on the asset.
The AR Marker Distance property is used to tell the system how far away the asset itself is from the marker.
Add this property to an asset to specify the following…
Option | Meaning |
---|---|
Marker Size | The size of the marker |
Horizontal | The distance (left-to-right) from the marker |
Vertical | The distance (up-to-down) from the marker |
Depth | The distance (forward to backwards) from the marker |
Offset Effect
When using AR, the marker for the asset will appear at the given distance from the marker.
Note that the further away from your marker assets are placed, the more they'll move in response to tiny movements and tracking errors. For that reason, we suggest not placing assets forward (ie. towards the reader) relative to the marker.
Best Used With Multiple Assets
Offset effects are at their best when multiple assets share the same marker ID. This allows you to show the location of individual pieces of equipment with a single marker.
