What Is ARDI?
ARDI stands for Asset Relationship and Data Integrator.
The main job of ARDI is to take all of the information about your assets, consolidate them in a single place, and then provide that information to all levels of your organisation in powerful, consistent, intuitive and innovative ways.
ARDI can bring in all kinds of information, including…
- Static information, such as name, description, equipment reference number, serial number etc.
- Live and historical information, such as measurements and equipment status from the field
- Media, either uploaded to ARDI or picked up from your DMS, ERP, file storage or other document management system.
- Location, in 2D, 3D or GPS coordinates depending on the ARDI features you require.
- Additional information, such as weather from OpenWeatherMap, maintenance and asset data from a maintenance management system, purchase histories from accounting etc.
Apart from all this, ARDI also is aware of how your assets are connected. This is not only extremely valuable information to people in the field, but these relationships allow for some of ARDIs most powerful features.
To show you how this is done, let's take a look at the The Anatomy of an Asset.
