Line diagrams are a form of network diagram that focuses on the relationship that flows along a sequence of assets in a diagram. create a diagram around a single asset and relationship, then allow you to overlay data over that diagram.

Line diagrams aren't suitable for most relationships, so there's no simple way for end-users to create them because of the high chance of them creating diagrams on unsuitable relationships.

We offer an easy way for administrators to create links to line diagrams though, which can be shared via a range of methods including the links addon (which adds additional links to the ARDI sidebar).

Go to Administration | Line Diagrams in the 'addons' section to open the page.

The line diagram has a limitation - when you select a value to look at (such as 'Voltage'), you can only see values overlaid onto assets that are part of the relationship.

You can get around this by adding a base parameter to your URL. Set the 'base' value to an asset near the root of the system hierarchy (ie. the whole site), and it will then display all of the other chosen data points outside the relationship.
