Finder UI

You can open Finder by opening your ARDI server and adding '/finder/' to the URL. For example, it's available from our Coke Ovens demo server (demo.optrix.com.au/s/coke) at the full address https://demo.optrix.com.au/s/coke/finder.

First, decide what you're actually looking for.

For example, you might want to know the last time Oven #1 had a temperature of greater than 900 degrees.

Then enter the name of that asset/property (a popup will appear to help you once you've entered a few characters).

In Type Of Comparison, choose 'Compare to a Fixed Value'.

In Comparison, choose 'Greater Than'.

In Value, enter 900.

Then press the search button, and ARDI will begin scanning backwards in history looking for previous times when this specific event has happened.

Search results are lines that tell you when the condition became true (ie. when the value exceeded 900) and when it stopped being true.

Note that this search will continue running until stopped, so please ensure you stop the process with the Stop Search button once you're done.

Why Finder

Finder is a simple addon, but it's valuable when dealing with long periods of time. This is because - rather than requesting data in one large piece - it scans high-resolution data in distinct 'chunks', making sure that your ARDI server and back-end aren't overloaded by asking for massive amounts of information simultaniously.
