The Search Page
The search page allows you to quickly and easily find your assets if you know something about them, such as their tag number or name.
Getting There
You can get to the search page by entering text from either the search bar in the sidebar or by entering text in the home screen.
Search Results
Search results will appear very quickly after you type the first few characters. Search results are broken into the following sections…
Name Matches
The first set of results are those where the asset name matches part of your search.
Data Matches
The second set of results are those where data other than the name was matched - this includes equipment reference numbers, model numbers and similar details.
Description Matches
The final set of results are those where the description of the item matches your search query.
Result Full Names
As well as the assets Asset Base Names, each search result will also include the Asset Full Names of the asset, to help you differentiate it from others with the same name in complex systems.
