Data Explorer gives you access to simple, dynamic data dashboards.

While Grafana is ideal for creating pre-made, web-based dashboards to present to people inside and outside your organisation, the dashboards are fixed - someone who understands Grafana has to create each one.

Data Explorer dashboards aren't quite as pretty, but they are dynamically created. You don't need to know anything about the Data Explorer system to start getting immediate access to your information.

Data Explorer dashboards are also highly interactive - you can left and right-click on data points to drill down deeper, see values over time or compare values against others.
