Live Data Dashboard

In most cases, you'll first enter Data Explorer on a live data dashboard. Live dashboards are one of several different kinds of dashboard that the Data Explorer supports.

At the top of the page you'll find the header bar, which gives you the name of the report and has a few controls.

Below that is where you'll find your dashboard panels.

Each panel contains one or more channels of data. In a live dashboard, these will usually be made up of bar charts, gauges and text panels.

Live dashboards update automatically as new data arrives, meaning they always are showing the most up-do-date values.

Interaction

You can interact with each of your panels to explore further.

You can hover your mouse over most panels to find out more about the value shown underneath your cursor.

As a basic rule, a left-click will allow you to discover more by moving to new dashboards, while a right-click is used to make changes to the existing dashboard.

When you're viewing a single asset, the link panel will appear on the right-hand side of your page.

This gives you quick access to other ARDI pages.

Where Do I Go Next?

It depends on what you're looking for.

Are you curious about how this asset has been behaving over the last little while? Click on the drop-down list in the top right of the header bar and you'll be able to transform your dashboard to show you trends over time.

Do you want to see how your channels are related? Zooming in to take a detailed look at channel interaction? Click on one and choose Compare To in the navigation menu.

Do you want to compare a channel to other assets? Zooming out to see how it compares with other assets across the plant? Click on it and choose Show All to see the value across sections, systems or your entire database.

Data Explorer can do quite a lot - you've just got to click on your channels and your panels if you're curious about them.
