Weak AIs

A weak AI is an AI that doesn't include any machine learning. It's instead based on a set of rules.

Examples of a weak AI include detecting when…

  • A value is above or below a particular threshold.
  • A value drifts too far away from a target
  • A value is too far from its neighbouring assets
  • A value is within a specific safe 'window' of operation.

There are several pre-made algorithms that provide rules-based AIs.
