Frames
A frame represents a single period of time.
This might be a day, shift, event, product run, batch or even a single moment.
A frame has a start time, an end time (which might be the same as the start time), and may have a number of attributes that provide information about that period.
For example, a frame for a business day might include attributes like…
- Total amount of production,
- Total amount of wastage,
- Number of Quality Issues or failed inspections.
- Total amount of planned and unplanned downtime etc.
Layered Frame Analytic methods are designed to help you calculate and automate capturing these details.
Tables & Sub-Frames
Frames can also store tables of data and lists of frames (called framesets). These are used during the analytic process.
