Full System Comparison Page
After choosing your time range, you'll be able to then select which assets you'd like to compare.
By default, all of the assets in the database are selected. You can click on an individual asset name to toggle them on/off, or click the target icon to re-focus the comparison to only compare assets inside that asset (ie. you can restrict the comparison to a particular sub-section of your process).
When you are happy with the list of assets, press Start.
Viewing Results
Results will appear as each asset is compared. They'll start to flow in almost immediately after you begin the process.
Removing Results
Some differences aren't going to be relevant - batch numbers for example are supposed to be unique, so the fact that two runs have different batch IDs isn't very important.
You can use the trash icons to remove specific matches from the list. You can remove a particular property, or an entire asset.
Sorting Results
Results can be sorted either by property (letting you group all similar properties together), or by asset. Being in the asset mode lets you press the trash button to remove all points from a single asset, while in property mode you can remove all properties of a specific type.
Filtering Results
Each difference is assigned a severity level based on how large the difference appears to be.
You can use the slider to adjust the filtered severity level. With the slider all the way to the left, even very minor differences will be highlighted. With the slider all the way to the right, only the largest differences will appear.
This allows you to begin from the biggest differences and work your way back to those that are more subtle. If you're looking for the root cause of an issue in two otherwise similar runs, the more significant changes hopefully indicate your cause.
Inspecting Differences
Click on the link text to see a chart showing the differences in values.
Pausing and Saving
You can pause the comparison at any time. You can also save the current state of the comparison for a later date, either to resume or to review.
Resuming A Comparison
In very large systems you might not be able to complete a comparison at one sitting, or may want to review results you captured earlier.
Press the Upload Result(s) button to upload a recorded comparison.
