Infographic Folders

You usually don't want all of your Infogrphics appearing in one large list - it's confusing to the user and makes it hard for people to find the information they are looking for.

The Infographics addon allows you to organise your graphics into folders. These have human-readable names, like Machine Performance.

A single Infographic can appear in more than one folder at a time. For example, a report might be part of your Morning Briefing folder, but it's also about Machine Performance. By making it available in both folders, people will be able to find it more easily.

You can specify the name of the folder in the last line of your info.txt file. It's an or (|) delimited list of folder names.

To use the above example, to place a report in both the Morning Briefing and Machine Performance folders, you'd write the line…

Morning Briefing|Machine Performance
Subfolders

You can also use subfolders. For instance, you can have Machine Performance/Live to split your live infographics from the ones that report on history.

Folder Playback

The Infographic web UI allows you to 'playback' a folder. At the top of any folder, you'll find a play button that will spend approx. 30 seconds display each one of your Infographics before automatically moving on to the next one.

Folder playback is a great way of creating simple kiosk or unattended displays that scroll through live or recent values.
