Re-Sending Past Reports

The normal instructions for Re-Sending Reports are focused around re-sending todays reports.

If for any reason you are trying to re-generate and re-send a set of reports from a previous point in time, you'll need to use the manual method of triggering report transmission.

This feature is only available in v0.9.8 of the reporting addon and above.

This feature is primarily used if ARDI data sources were unavailable at the time of the report, but your data was still being recorded. It can also be used in cases of where you experienced replication failure, corruption and recovery, or switched to redundant systems.

The Information You'll Need

Gather the information you need.

You'll need the name of the bundle, the title of the report (including the word 'report', if that appears on your email subject line), and the date & time that you would have normally produced the report.

It's important to note that this is the date that the report would have been actually produced & sent, not the time it covers. For instance, your 9AM to 5PM reports will actually be created at 5:15PM, after the end of the day.

Build the URL

Now, build the URL to send your report. This will be…

myardiserver/reportlist/transmit?bundle=<bundlename>&title=<title>&refdate=<date>

Where the 'date' is in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format. Unlike most ARDI dates, this will be in your local time-zone.

Open the URL

To use the URL, you'll need to either…

  • Open it in the browser locally on the ARDI server, or
  • First sign in as an Administrator from a remote system, then open the URL.

Then wait. Because the pages are being individual re-built, this process may take several minutes.

Process Complete

Once finished, you'll see some logging information and a list of those people/destinations that have been sent reports.

Your past report has been re-generated and re-sent.
