Marking up Assets and Exits

Upon double clicking a Photo Point in the ARDI Video Mapper, it will open the Pano2VR Software.

Pano2VR gives you the ability to modify and preview the scene as well as define visual hot spots that can be interacted with when viewing the scene in ARDI360.

Setting the North Direction

First, make sure that the North direction is correctly aligned. Do this by enabling the Compass in the Viewer Settings.

Once the Compass is activated you should see the North, South, East and West indicators within the Pano2VR Scene.

You can find the controls to adjust the North direction under the User Data Tab. Adjust the Pano2VR scene so that the North direction on the indicator corresponds with the actual direction of North according to the image.

Setting the Pitch and Roll

In many instances, the footage or image used for the scene may be tilted or rotated in someway which disrupts the visual level of the scene. You can use the Leveling controls under the Properties tab to adjust these Pitch and Roll of the scene as needed.

Marking HotSpots

Upon creating the Pano2VR file from the ARDI Video Mapper Tool, Video Mapper will try to automatically generate Hot Spot areas for each link. The Hot Spot will not be correctly positioned and must be adjusted, however Video Mapper will try it's best to place it in a location close to the correct position based on the information it has.

However, if the desired Hot Spot link does not exist or you wish to make a Hot Spot for an asset, it must be created from scratch.

Creating a Hot Spot

To mark a link between a scene you must be in Polygon Editing mode.

Once Polygon Editing Mode is selected, you can begin creating Polygons. Double click anywhere on the image to begin creating a polygon.

You can then single left click to create new polygon vertices, allowing you to essentially draw the Hot Spot area.

You can then right click to finish the polygon. Individual polygon vertices can be adjusted by clicking and dragging on them.

You can now assign the polygon an ID in the Properties page. The ID value must be a valid Name ID in the ARDI Database. If you enter the name of another 360 Scene Point, the Hot Spot will become a link which will allow the user to travel from one point to another. If you enter the name of a valid ARDI Asset, interacting with it will bring up the user interface showing the assets data.
