Adding Physical Assets

Now it's time to create our physical assets - the ones that represent individual pieces of equipment, vehicles or people.

1) On the sidebar, click on 'Hierarchies' and 'By Location'.

2) Hit the '+' button on the right-hand side of the parent asset. Enter the name of your asset in the popup that appears and hit 'Add This Asset' or the 'Create' button.

3) Describe your asset and attach any tags. Physical assets should always have at least one tag.

4) Hit 'Create Asset'

5) If you picked one or more tags, you'll be offered the ability to setup some of your properties and relationships for the new asset. It's a great time to set your Equipment Reference Numbers.

5) When done, hit 'Save'.

6) You will be taken to the dashboard for your asset.

That's it - your asset is now created and is available through a equipment reference number search.
