Discrete Channels
An discrete channel is a number that is not continuous. It will usually be an integer (ie. no decimal points), and the different numbers often describe a state.
For example, the signal that a door is open, that it's daytime or that a machine is in a particular mode.
In ARDI, Status, Enumeration and Lookup properties are treated as discrete channels.
They are usually show in panels as text charts when looking at live data, and discrete charts when looking at values over time.
The other type of channel is a analogue channel.
