Point Queries

Point queries are simplest and most common type of query used. They allow you to create a time series around just one asset (the 'point').

When you make a Point query, you choose the asset to base the point on, then the property you would like to show. For example, the below chart shows the value of Stove #1 Temperature.

You may also choose All Analogs or All Discrete as options for your property. This will return multiple channels. Note however that these channels may contain data in several different measurement units / scales. You can add Series Overrides in Grafana to help provide meaningful graphs in this case.

The Current Point Query query type is very similar, but it only shows the most recent value for the property, regardless of the current query range.
