Agency Examples

The Analytics Example Bundle includes a sample Agency deployment.

In the Agency folder, you'll find a file called runagency.bat. After modifying the file, you should be able to double-click it on Windows platforms to start the Agency service.

This creates a number of alerts that monitor our Paint Line Demo Site.

You can see alerts appearing through the command-prompt, and they're also available through the REST interface.

Thanks to the Modular Output System, you can also read the alert values from OPC-UA on port 2255. We'd suggest using a tool such as UAExpert to read the published data.

The Paint Line Demo uses a repeating set of data that has a few issues that should come up over-and-over again.

You may need to wait a minute or two for the issues to appear.

Although there are many alerts running, not all of them will actually happen. Events that should be present in the same data include…

* The Painting Stopped alert on the Paint Line asset.
* The Strip Too Cold at Exit alert from Prime Oven Zone 1.
* Out Of Temperature Control and Not At Target PMT alerts from Oven Zones.
