Panel Types
There are several different types of panel, designed to show different kinds of channel.
Live Panels
The bar chart is the most common type of panel to display live analogue data.
You can also use the gauge if you're trying to display where your value lies compared to your upper and lower limits.
For discrete data, the text panel gives you a clear, colour-coded indication of the current value.
History Panels
The line chart is the standard way of viewing analogue data over time.
For discrete channels, the discrete chart shows the values changing as blocks of colour.
Analytic Panels
The range chart is a hybrid of both an over-time and live-value chart, used to determine what an asset is doing now vs what it's been doing recently.
