How-To Add A Parent To An Asset
It's almost always easier to add a child asset to a parent one - we suggest doing that where possible.
However, if you don't already have an asset as a parent, you can use the insert control to add one.
WARNING - If your asset already has a parent in the same relationship you're trying to add, this technique will insert a new asset between the existing parent and the selected asset.
If the asset doesn't have a relationship of the type you're looking for…
- Click Show All (at the end of the list of relationships)
- Choose the relationship you want to add from the drop-down list that appears
Then…
- Press the '+' button to the left of the asset.
- Start entering the name of the asset.
- If the asset already exists, choose it from the list to have it automatically added.
- If the asset doesn't already exist, push Create to build it.
And your asset is now attached.
