Citect Live Driver

This driver is used to access live information from one or more Citect servers.

This driver takes advantage of the Citect CtAPI to read live data from Citect tags. As this is only available as a Windows DLL, this means that this addon only works on Windows.

If you are going to be accessing Citect, we suggest using a Windows-based ARDI server. However if that is difficult, you can access the Citect CtAPI from a non-Windows server using a Windows IO server.

This driver is only suitable for live data. If you want to access Citect Historian information, the Citect Historian driver is available.

Installation

While this driver does not run on Linux, you will still need to install the basic user-interface components in order to set up an IO server connection. You can install it using the command below…

sudo apt-get install ardi-citect

On Windows, the driver is available from http://www.optrix.com.au/ardi/downloads/windows

Additional Components

On Windows, ARDI requires several other files before it can connect to the CtAPI. Your driver installer will show you which files are needed and where they need to be copied.

These files need to be transferred from your Citect server to the system running the Citect driver - they allow ARDI to access the live information and use the CtAPI.
