Citect Historian Driver
This driver is used to access historical information from one or more Citect Historian SQL servers.
Citect Historian saves its records in Microsoft SQL Server, and includes a number of functions to make querying that data more efficient.
Note that while the Citect live driver is suitable for Windows servers only, this driver will run on any system.
Installation
On Ubuntu, you can install the Citect Historian driver using the following command…
sudo apt-get install ardi-citect-historian
On Windows, the driver is available from http://www.optrix.com.au/ardi/downloads/windows
Database Security
Please ensure that you have created a user for ARDI in your SQL database.
The user will also need to be given permissions to execute some of the Citect Historian functions present in your database - particularly functions such as…
- fn_get_numeric_samples
- ConvertTagnamesToTagIDs
- ToDateUTC
These allow ARDI to deliver data very rapidly.
