Auto-Linking Options

This page allows you to upload the files used by ARDIs Auto Linking and validation systems to ensure that your points are linked to the correct values in your information systems.

The file you need to upload is simply a one-address-per-line text file. This is normally created by exporting a list of valid points from your information management system.

ARDIs auto-linking system and validation reports will then use that list as a reference when confirming if the links between ARDI and your data source are valid.

Example

  • Export the points from your information management system (in this example, Citect).
  • Open the export in a spreadsheet tool such as Microsoft Excel
  • Copy the column containing the Citect ID of each point into the first row of a blank spreadsheet.
  • Save the spreadsheet as a TXT (tab delimited) file.
  • Go to Administration | Auto Linking Options
  • Under the Citect source, click on 'Choose File' and select the TXT file you saved.
  • Click on the green 'Upload' button to upload the file to ARDI.
