Multi-Site Modes

ARDI allows you to host several databases at once.

This is ideal for when you have several small applications. You can simply use a single physical or virtual server to host content for a number of applications / sites / territories at one time.

You can change the multi-site mode from Administration, under General Options.

There are three distinct multi-site modes available, which allow you to tailor your system to specific markets.

Integrated Mode

Integrated mode is the default.

You use a single user database, and users can access any site from any other site.

When they visit your server without specifying a site name, they are given a list of sites to choose from.

This is suitable for applications where a single customer has a number of smaller applications that users may want to connect to

Hide Subsites

Hide Subsites has a shared list of users, similar to integrated servers. The main difference is that when you visit the server without specifying a site name, you'll be taken to the default site.

This is suitable for applications where you have a single 'main' database on a server, and some smaller development or training databases

Isolated

Isolated mode gives each ARDI site it's own distinct set of users (meaning each has its own administrator). There is no shared list of sites available.

This is designed for multi-tennant applications where you have a number of users from different organisations sharing computer resources.
